How can  Chiropractor  Help you if you live in Cincinnati ?

Before I begin, let me give you a little insight to where my perspective on the healing comes from. By training, I’m a scientist. I am really good at looking at issues critically and deciphering facts and problems based on factual evidence and sound theories. At the same time, I always had an interest in alternative medicine and while I lived in Seattle for 5 years, I had the chance to experience directly and learn various healing modalities such as naturopathic physician care,  acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic in Cincinnati.

Back Pain Treatment

Some of my knowledge comes from being the inquisitive patient, some comes from discussions with students of Bastyr College of Naturopathic medicine who I befriended while in Seattle.  While in Cincinnati I also took several classes on Reiki, and became a Reiki Master/Teacher and hence I have the insiders perspective on how energy healing works and what it can and can’t do.I am a strong advocate of alternative therapies in conjunction with or sometimes instead of traditional medicine. However, recently, I have been really bothered by practices of chiropractor (some not all) and I feel that there are many out there that take advantage of the general lack of understanding of how the human body works in patients to keep their businesses going.

Cincinnati Chiropractor for Back Pain, Neck Pain, Sciatica, Herniated Disc …

Pinched Nerve In Neck Many people choose to seek chiropractic when they have a pain not only in their back, but any part of their body. If you are looking for an alternative to traditional medication and surgery, you may want to consider seeking help from a chiropractor. Throughout your life, you may feel some aches and pains. Many choose to go to the doctor who may then prescribe some medication or recommend over the counter remedies to mask the symptoms by relieving the pain. While others may choose to suffer through, hoping it will stop soon; many others choose to undergo chiropractic care, believing that the body can heal itself with the help of a professional. With proper alignment of the skeletal structure, the nervous system can function properly; relieve you of painful symptoms and health issues. The chiropractor uses his or her hands to restructure the vertebrae. Many people's bones on the spine are not correctly structured, thereby resulting in subluxation. This can cause pain not only in the back, but also in other parts of the body. Misalignment of the spine can interfere with the nervous and vascular systems, causing an array of issues including pain, digestive disturbances and weakness. More and more people are undergoing chiropractic care as an alternative therapy. It has become so popular that many times it is covered under some insurance plans. If you are interested in the procedure, contact your insurance company to make sure the procedure is covered. More and more people are using it for pain and problems in the spine and lower back. Others have even used it to cure ear infections or colic in infants, as well as headaches. During the first consultation period, the doctor will begin with a chiropractic exam. He or she will ask you questions pertaining to your medical history. The doctor will also ask the patient to explain where they feel pain and whether there are long lasting health problems and a history of disease. They may even ask you about your dietary habits and any medication you may take. If you know how the injury occurred, this is the time to tell the doctor so that he or she can properly diagnose the problem. Many professionals use x-ray machines during the initial visit also. They will then start the procedure by manipulating the spine, which may produce a painless popping sound. This will normally help the joints. The patient will lie on a special table when this is occurring, to help the practitioner place the patient in proper positions. They may also try some stretching techniques. Generally you will need longer term treatment if your pain is chronic or severe or attached to a health problem. If you are in poor health then the recovery time can be long also. The doctor will discharge you and will follow up with you to insure that there are not huge risks or complications. The doctor will also ask you to do some exercises and may have you to use heat or ice packs when you are at home. If performed correctly, chiropractic treatment can do wonders if a person is suffering from certain ailments. If you are interested in some alternative medicines, then why not try chiropractic procedures from a professional who you can trust. Pain In Lower Back

How Football Chiropractors Can Help You Perform Better?

On-field sports like football, lacrosse and track can take a tool on the athlete's body. Athletes are expected to be fit and game-ready all the time, which can be a lot of pressure. If you are someone who plays football professionally or just enjoys the game over the weekend, you might want to see a chiropractor. When most people hear the term "chiropractic care", they often associate it with chronic back and neck pain. However, there are many other things chiropractic has treated successfully. Experts believe that 90% of all professional football players seek chiropractic care at some point in their career. The job of a football chiropractor is a mix of diverse things, which offers multiple benefits to the concerned athlete. In this post, we will talk about the ways in which a chiropractor can improve your performance. 1. Reduce Impact of Training. Known athletes like Dan O'Brien and Lance Armstrong have credited their respective chiropractors for their fitness and on-field performance. Football is a demanding sport, where you need training and regular exercise to keep up with, learn and master different skills. The extensive training can often take a toll on your body and cause vertebral subluxations. This is where your spinal alignment is off and can create nerve distortion, which can impact your motor skills and performance. Regular chiropractic care can reduce the effects of training. 2. Relief from Injuries. Football players know that injuries are not always external. Even a simple collision with one of the other players on the field can cause sudden pain, and it is advisable to seek chiropractic care as early as possible. Studies have revealed that chiropractic adjustments can help with athletic performance and reduce common injuries. Chiropractic care can help in reducing the irritation of the nerve roots, which enhances the healing process. Depending on your injury, relief can be immediate. 3. Choice of Drug-Free Treatment. As a football player, you cannot always rely on meds for different aches and pain. In fact, drugs avoidance is best. In many cases, chiropractors have helped athletes in avoiding invasive surgeries, including the use of procedures like ARP therapy and cold laser therapy. Ignoring smaller pains can often lead to bigger, chronic conditions, which might require further medical intervention. Instead of waiting for something dire to happen, visiting a chiropractor is recommended. Chiropractors work with athletes like their fitness coach, offering advice and suggestions on improving performance. If you already sustained an injury, your chiropractor will help in understanding the ways of healing better and faster. You might notice a favorable difference even after one visit with your chiropractor. Make an appointment with a local clinic today to feel the difference! Pain In Neck

Chiropractors - Be Proactive To Avoid OSHA Citations and Fines

Contrary to what many people believe, there are several types of chiropractic treatment methods. Different chiropractors will specialize in different types of treatments, and not every type of back or neck pain will require the same care. To this end, chiropractors utilize several different methods to relieve pain all over the body. Because no two spinal deviations are the same, no two treatment methods are the same. Instead, chiropractors pull from a wide range of methods in order to customize a treatment plan for every patient. The benefits of chiropractic care lie in the wide range of treatments, as well as the holistic approach to medicine that examine the entire body, rather than each part of the body as an isolated piece. One type of treatment involves a manual spinal adjustment. It's important that you ONLY let your licensed chiropractor adjust your spine, because only they are trained and experienced enough to perform these types of manipulations. Letting an unlicensed person perform an adjustment can lead to serious injury. When a licensed chiropractor performs an adjustment, you will be asked to lie on a special table. Then your doctor will manually force different joints into place, and will also stretch certain muscles that may require it. While you may experience pressure at this time, almost always there is no discomfort. Your doctor will likely recommend you return to the office for regular adjustments for at least a few weeks while your spine becomes reacquainted with its proper alignment. A different type of treatment method for your back pain may include rehabilitation exercises. Your chiropractor will teach you a series of movements you can perform at home. They will recommend you perform these exercises daily in order to strengthen your core. When your core becomes weak, due to lack of exercise, your spine is forced to overcompensate. This can lead to your back becoming misaligned and can result in pain in your neck, back, and in other areas of your body. Your chiropractor may use one of these methods, or may choose a combination in order to attack the pain aggressively in order to relieve it much sooner. Beyond this, your chiropractor may utilize Electrical Muscle Stimulation, also known as EMS. EMS applies a deep penetrating electrical current to the areas in your back that are causing you pain. While it sounds intense, this type of treatment is pain-free, and many patients enjoy the sensation. The immediate stimulation can reduce inflammation and decrease pain. Talk with your doctor about all the different types of chiropractic methods that can help reduce the pain you are feeling. In doing so you can take a proactive and holistic approach to your healthcare. Working with a professional chiropractor cannot only alleviate pain throughout your back, but can also do so in other areas of your body. If you're in pain, realize it doesn't have to be that way. As with other chiropractic treatments, spinal traction may or may not help alleviate your pain, often times with chiropractic treatment what works on one patient may not be right for others. How a Chiropractor Can Help Reflux?

Yes, a chiropractor can help people with allergies. Next time you are feeling unwell due to allergies, you should consider visiting a chiropractor. Your chiropractor can successfully treat allergies by keeping your body healthy and less vulnerable to allergic reactions. A visit to a chiropractor, when you are suffering the symptoms of an allergic reaction, may help you to cope with your condition and make you feel much better. How can a Chiropractor help you? Allergic reactions are common immune disorders. Hay fever, for example, can cause your eyes to water; it can cause you to sneeze uncontrollably, to sniff or to cough. Although there is no cure for people who suffer from allergies, the symptoms caused by an allergic reaction can be treated. Your immune system is affected by nerves and hormones. The immune system fights the invasion in your body of foreign substances, such as pollution, pollen, dust, and animal dander. People with allergies may also react to a wide variety of triggers such as bee stings, various medications, and certain foods. Research shows that there is a link between your immune system and your nervous system. Because your spinal column houses the spinal cord, a dysfunctional spinal column can influence your nervous system; therefore a dysfunctional spinal column will make you more prone to allergies. A chiropractor can help you by removing nerve interference to allow your immune system to work to its full capacity. How does a Chiropractor treat People suffering from Allergies? A chiropractor takes a holistic approach to the treatment of allergies. Visiting a chiropractor during the season of the year when you are most affected by your allergy may result in you being able to cut down on allergy medication. Although allergy medicines work well to help you control your allergy you may find that there are side effects such as drowsiness. By seeking help from a chiropractor you may be able to take less medication or a smaller dose. The chiropractor will correct any interference to your nervous system and this will strengthen your immune system, therefore making you better able to fight against the various allergens that cause you distress. Chiropractic treatment removes subluxations. Subluxations are misaligned spinal vertebra that pinches a nerve in your body. Subluxations cause stress to your nervous system. Once your nervous system is free from stress, your immune system will be healthier and more able to fight against whatever triggers your allergy. It does not matter what triggers your allergy, you will benefit from chiropractic treatment to your spine. If your spine is healthy, your quality of life will improve because you will have a stronger immune system. Your body will be better able to adapt to allergic reactions and you may be able to lower the amount of medication you need to take in order to remain healthy. If you suffer from an allergy it is a wise decision to consult with a chiropractor and see how you can be helped. Back Spasms

Can a Chiropractor Help People With Lower Back Pain?

I play a lot of hockey and have a bad back and have had foot pain for a number of years now and after much thought, I decided to go to a local chiropractor to get some relief. I had talked to a neighbor who told me he had a bad back as well and used a chiropractor on a regular basis. He recommended his chiropractor and I setup an appointment for an initial visit where they run some tests and determine what type of treatment you will need. The cost of my initial visit was $50 and the initial visit was about an hour in length. When treatment started, my first treatment was initially a little scary as I had never had my back cracked or manipulated before. You see, you lay on a table and the chiropractor puts pressure on your spine with a quick movement causing your back to make a popping noise, which the chiropractor said was a type of gas that your body produces and the sudden popping noise is harmless. Of course I signed the waiver you get when you first sign up to get treatment allowing them no legal responsibility should you suffer any problems or side effects. When my chiropractor was finished with the treatment, he put some ice cold gel, which is an anti-inflammatory on my back and if felt great after each treatment. I now use the anti-inflammatory all the time when my back gets a little sore from too much hockey or physical activity. I ended up going to the chiropractor for about 15 treatments and felt a great deal of relief from the chiropractic appointments. After each visit you feel so much better as the manipulation relieves tension in the body. The doctor also helped me with some stretching exercises for my back and showed me how to maintain my posture and keep good back health by even stretching a certain way while driving my car which was bothering me as well. He also suggested buying some ankle weights to help build strength for some meniscus pain I was having in my right knee as well which also helped a great deal. Overall I had a great experience with my local chiropractor and will use them again if I have future problems. Chronic Back Pain
